As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with product owners and project stakeholders to deliver impactful change to our policy management system. Your contributions will help us deliver exceptional solutions for our personal insurance business partners, internal users, agents, and valued clients.
If you are a curious, detail-oriented, problem-solver who thrives on breaking things and pushing our software to its limits, this might be the position for you.

Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)

Troubleshoot system problems (in test and production) to highlight the root cause of failures.
Execute efficient test plans and perform ad-hoc testing as needed.
Perform effective data validation and analysis using SQL.
Utilize specification documents to create targeted test plans that exhibit the intersection of business needs and likely tech failures.
Leverage AI tools (such as Claude or similar AI assistants) to optimize manual testing, brainstorm creative edge cases, and generate test data.
The Successful Candidate: (what we're looking for)
Previous experience as a QA Analyst in the insurance space (small to mid-sized homeowners or commercial insurance carrier is ideal).
Proven ability to write effective and detailed test cases and test plans from requirements, user stories, or technical specifications.
You understand complex insurance processes enough to know what we need before we even ask for it.
Strong grasp of insurance-related technical terminology and can comfortably communicate clearly and credibly with our development team.
Deadlines don’t phase you; you’ve already finished the project three days early and can start working on something else.
You are an analytical problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, very collaborative environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Oh, and you have to be a reasonably nice person. Life is too short: we want to work with people we like.
Some Requirements:
3+ years as a QA Analyst in the property and casualty insurance space.
Hands-on experience with modern test case management tools.
Familiarity with interpreting API documentation and testing.

We’re an MS Office environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Other:

Designated quiet work from home space.
