Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering Physics with over 5 years of experience in automated test software. Proficiency in MATLAB is required, with C# or Python and expertise in optical/high-speed electronic testing being strong assets.

Optical Components Test Engineering plays a critical role in enabling reliable, high‑volume manufacturing of Ciena’s optical component technologies. This position partners closely with Research and Development (R&D), manufacturing partners, and cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, automated test solutions that support both sustaining products and new product introduction (NPI). The role offers the opportunity to directly influence product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction through data‑driven test engineering excellence.
