At Jushi Holdings Inc. ”) (CSE: JUSH) (OTCQX: JUSHF), we are shaping the future of the cannabis industry, the fastest growing jobs sector in the U.S. The Safety/Security Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day security operations at the Jushi facilities, ensuring the safety and security of the property, personnel, and cannabis products. This position is responsible for managing a team of security personnel, enforcing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with state and local regulations related to cannabis security. The Safety/Security Supervisor will work closely with management to address any security issues, maintain a secure environment, and assist with audits and investigations.
\nWHAT YOU WILL DO
Team Supervision:
Lead and supervise a team of security officers, ensuring proper staffing, training, and performance management.
Schedule and assign shifts for security personnel to ensure 24/7 coverage of the facility.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and guidance to team members.
Security Operations:
Ensure the implementation and adherence to security protocols, procedures, and regulations in the Jushi facilities.
Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) to detect and prevent unauthorized activity.
Conduct regular physical security checks of all areas, including the grow rooms, processing areas, storage, and external perimeter.
Ensure the safety and security of customers and employees, at the retail dispensary locations.
Monitor and maintenance security equipment at all Jushi locations
Compliance and Recordkeeping:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal cannabis security regulations.
Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, and other documentation related to security incidents.
Participate in regular audits and inspections to ensure facility security measures are up to code.
Emergency Response:
Act as the primary point of contact for emergency security situations and coordinate response efforts as needed.
Train security personnel in emergency procedures, including evacuation, lockdown, and response to breaches or intrusions.
Training & Development:
Conduct training sessions for security staff on security protocols, cannabis regulations, and the use of security equipment.
Ensure that all security staff remain up to date with state and local cannabis security requirements.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Work closely with the Director of Operations and other facility management to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
Provide regular reports on security issues, incidents, and operational improvements.
Assist in investigations related to theft, fraud, or other violations of security protocols.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Prior experience in the cannabis industry or in a highly regulated industry (such as pharmaceuticals, alcohol, etc.) is a plus.
Knowledge of cannabis security regulations and best practices is highly desirable.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure in emergency situations.
Must pass background checks and meet local and state regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Ability to remain alert and focused for long shifts, including overnight hours if needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position may require rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The work environment may involve exposure to the growing and processing areas of the cannabis facility, including potential exposure to plants and equipment.
Occasional travel to other facilities or off-site locations may be required for training or other operational needs.
