The Role
E92, Model Based Manufacturing (E92), is seeking a leader to supervise a group of engineers and developers who perform detailed checks of VWIs (Visual Work Instructions) across multiple systems. VWIs are the new way of creating instructions to the deckplate and the iDS (Integrated Digital Shipbuilding) program marks a deliberate enterprise-wide departure from legacy 2D drawings. It is desirable that the candidate has familiarity with Ford Class system design and PLM systems but is not required. The team focuses on installation practices, as well as the ability to ensure that VWIs are clear, accurate, and fully support execution in the shipyard. This leader will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining production, cost and throughput goals.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
