FGMA is seeking an experienced AEC marketing professional to lead proposal and pursuit efforts for our Mid-Atlantic region. This position partners closely with regional leaders, business development professionals, technical teams, and firmwide marketing staff to develop compelling pursuit strategies and high-quality proposals, presentations, and qualifications packages.
The Regional Marketing Manager also leads and develops the Marketing Coordinators supporting the region and helps improve marketing processes, tools, and performance. This is an opportunity for an experienced AEC marketer to have a meaningful voice in regional strategy while helping FGMA continue to grow its presence in the Mid-Atlantic.
This position is based in our Reston office. Employees work together in the office Tuesday through Thursday and have the flexibility to work remotely Monday and Friday. FGMA also offers Flexible Fridays, with a 36-hour schedule Monday through Thursday and a half-day on Friday.

About the Role
The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) leads revenue-generating marketing efforts within an assigned region and serves as a key liaison between marketing, business development and practice teams. This position plays a critical role in supporting pursuit strategies, optimizing workflows and driving continuous improvement in regional marketing performance. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized and collaborative with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The primary focus of this position is leading the region’s proposal and pursuit efforts, while also managing and developing regional marketing staff and helping improve coordination among marketing, business development, and practice leadership.
The RMM directly manages Marketing Coordinators assigned to the region and collaborates closely with technical staff and the broader marketing team to ensure marketing materials are compelling, strategically positioned, and aligned with FGMA’s brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with practice teams, business development, and firm leadership to align regional marketing strategies with business goals.
Lead and oversee the development of proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other pursuit-related materials.
Manage and mentor Marketing Coordinators, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and high-quality deliverables.
Collaborate with technical staff and subject matter experts to develop compelling, strategically positioned marketing content.
Maintain and enhance regional marketing materials, ensuring consistency with FGMA’s brand standards and messaging.
Support client development efforts through market research, pursuit strategy, and opportunity tracking.
Plan and coordinate regional conferences, industry events, and client engagement activities.
Oversee the accuracy and integrity of marketing data within Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint and support reporting needs.
Analyze pursuit and marketing performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Champion continuous improvement of marketing processes, tools, and workflows within the region.
Required Qualifications
At least six years of marketing experience, including significant experience supporting proposals and pursuits within the architecture, engineering, construction, or related professional services industry
Experience leading complex pursuits and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Exceptional project management, organizational, written communication, and editing skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CRM systems, preferably Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
