Le Directeur principal, Recouvrement Taxes indirectes, travaille au sein du groupe des taxes indirectes de Ryan afin de fournir aux clients des services de d’analyse en recouvrement des taxes indirectes. Le directeur principal travaillera sur des mandats d’analyse et de contestation des vérifications fiscales pour les clients.
Tâches et responsabilités, en rapport avec les résultats clés de Ryan Personnel : Assigner et diriger le personnel de conseil dans l'exécution des missions, y compris la programmation, la gestion de l'avancement et de l'achèvement des missions, assurer la production de rapports, réviser ces rapports pour l'exhaustivité et l'exactitude, assurer la livraison ou la communication électronique de ces rapports aux clients, et gérer toutes les interactions avec les clients par le personnel de conseil. Créer une expérience positive au sein de l'équipe. Clients : Réaliser les missions confiées aux clients, seul ou avec l'aide des membres de l'équipe ou des employés de Ryan, y compris tous les types de missions susceptibles d'être confiées à l'équipe de conseil en matière de taxes sur le chiffre d'affaires. Préparer et soumettre des propositions de mission aux clients, sous la supervision du directeur de la taxe sur les ventes. Préparer et présenter des séminaires et des ateliers sur la fiscalité à l'intention des clients. Valeur : Assiste et participe à la formation interne de Ryan sur les questions de taxe de vente. Participe au développement de nouvelles lignes de services à proposer aux clients. Soutenir le développement personnel des employés qui lui sont directement rattachés. Préparer et compléter les rapports d'exception destinés aux clients en français. Pendant une période de transition, participer avec le reste de l'équipe de conseillers basée à Montréal à la réponse aux questions des services de soutien à la clientèle soumises en français par les clients et aider à l'aspect technique de l'examen du processus de qualité et d'assurance pour les dossiers d'examen de la taxe de vente soumis par les gestionnaires de recouvrement de la taxe de vente en français. Effectuer d'autres tâches qui lui sont confiées.
Formation et expérience : Maîtrise en fiscalité facultative et sept années ou plus d'expérience en comptabilité ou en fiscalité dans le domaine des services de conseil, de l'industrie et/ou de l'expertise comptable. Le candidat doit posséder une solide connaissance de la législation et des politiques relatives à la taxe sur les produits et services, à la taxe de vente du Québec et à la taxe de vente au détail provinciale, et avoir idéalement travaillé en tant que professionnel dans le domaine des taxes à la consommation. Les candidats doivent également avoir une excellente maîtrise du français et de l'anglais, tant à l'écrit qu'à l'oral.
Compétences informatiques : Pour effectuer ce travail avec succès, une personne doit avoir une connaissance intermédiaire de Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel et Outlook, ainsi que de la navigation et de la recherche sur Internet.
Certificats et licences : Un permis de conduire valide et un passeport canadien sont exigés.
Responsabilités de supervision : Ce poste peut nécessiter des responsabilités de supervision des employés du groupe consultatif sur la taxe de vente.
Environnement de travail : Environnement de travail intérieur standard. Occasionnellement, de longues périodes en position assise devant un ordinateur. The Manager, Sales Tax Advisory, works within Ryan’s Transaction Tax Group to conduct or manage the delivery of fee-based advisory support services to clients, either by the Manager or by other members of the Sales Tax Advisory Team. As required, the Manager will either perform or assign the different task to the Team and will coach other members of the Sales Tax Advisory Team in the performance of consulting, advisory and training engagements, both in conjunction with, and independently from, the Director, Sales Tax.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

Assigns and directs advisory staff in the performance of engagements, including scheduling, managing the progress and completion of engagements, ensuring the production of reports, reviewing such reports for completeness and accuracy, ensuring the delivery or electronic communication of such reports to clients, and managing all interaction with clients by consulting staff.

Client:
Performs engagements for clients as assigned, either alone or with assistance of Team members or either Ryan employees, including all such types of engagements that might be assigned to the Sales Tax Advisory Team.
Prepares and submits engagement proposals to clients, under supervision of the Director, Sales Tax.
Prepares and presents tax seminars and workshops for clients.

Assists in the development of additional service lines for offering to clients.
Supports personal development of employees that report directly to the incumbent.
Prepare and complete Exception reports to be issued to clients in French.
For a transition period, participate with the rest of the Montreal based Advisory Team in answering Client Support Services questions submitted in French by clients and assist with the technical aspect of the Quality & Assurance process review for sales tax review files submitted by Sales Tax Recovery Managers in French.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Master's in Taxation optional and seven or more years accounting or tax-related experience in consulting services, industry and/or public accounting environment. Candidate must possess a strong knowledge of Goods and Services Tax, Quebec Sales Tax and Provincial Retail Sales Tax legislation and policies, ideally working as a professional in the commodity tax field. Candidates should also possess a strong command of both written and verbal French and English.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook and Internet navigation and research.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license required and Canadian passport required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position may require supervisory responsibilities for employees in the Sales Tax Advisory Group.
Work Environment:
Standard indoor working environment.
Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
