About the Opportunity Refi Law, a dedicated division of Property Law Firm CB LLP, is looking for an experienced Freelance Real Estate Law Clerk to support our growing refinance practice. Unlike traditional real estate practices, Refi Law focuses exclusively on institutional mortgage refinances. This specialized approach allows us to build streamlined processes, leverage technology, and deliver a faster, more consistent experience for our clients and referral partners. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced law clerk who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering efficient, high-quality service.
Responsibilities
Manage residential refinance files from opening through completion and reporting.
Review and fulfill institutional lender instructions and requirements.
Prepare closing documents, statements of adjustments, payout statements, and reporting packages.
Conduct title and other required searches.
Coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, and other legal professionals to ensure smooth and timely closings.
Maintain accurate electronic file documentation and follow established processes.
Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and contribute to a streamlined client experience.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years of experience as a residential real estate law clerk, with strong refinance experience.
Experience managing institutional mortgage refinance transactions from start to finish.
Strong understanding of lender requirements and closing procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset.
Comfortable working independently in a technology-driven, process-focused environment.
Ability to adapt quickly and follow established workflows while identifying opportunities for improvement.
