Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projets are undertaking the design, build, and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package.
As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?
A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River).
Stations:
One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station.
Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations.
Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown).

Job Description
The MEP Site Superintendent leads and supervises all MEP activities on-site, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with other trades, review shop drawings and material submittals, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues. This role drive compliance with codes and regulations while supporting inspections, documentation, and system handover.
The salary range for this position is $140,000 CAD - $190,000 CAD, plus additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage MEP subcontractors and site personnel.
Ensure MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and
schedules.
Coordinate MEP activities with other trades and disciplines to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth
workflow.
Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly reports on MEP activities.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Verify proper tracking of project documentation
Review and approve MEP shop drawings and material submittals.
Liaise with consultants, engineers, and clients regarding technical issues and site coordination.
Assist in resolving site issues and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
Support handover of MEP systems to T&C
Assist in the preparation and review of variation orders, including identifying scope changes and
assessing their impact on cost and schedule.
Collaborate with project management and design teams to support change management
processes and documentation.
Verify site readiness for inspections and ensures that Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are
properly implemented.
Verify on-time delivery by subcontractor and accuracy of redline markups and as-built drawings.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP site supervision on large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.

Ontario Transit Group (OTG) is a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction and Vinci Construction Grands Projets (through their subsidiary JANIN ATLAS) to design, build and deliver the Ontario Line Subway - Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel work for Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario. The south section of the line will join Exhibition Place to the Don Yard portal.
Scope of work for the Ontario Line South Civil design-build-finance package includes:
- A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
- Groundworks required to build the tunnels and stations; utility and conduit works to prepare for the Rolling Stock, Systems, Operations and Maintenance (RSSOM) mechanical and electrical systems; guideway structures and facilities to prepare for the track structure to be installed by the RSSOM contractor.
- Stations: One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station. Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations. Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown).
When completed with the northern section of the Ontario Line, the new subway line will be a 15.6-kilometre subway line with 15 new stations to the and will connect Exhibition Place all the way to the Eglinton Crosstown LRT at Don Mills Road.
