JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing the highly skilled, discipline-specific tasks required to ensure the smooth operation of select destination(s) as it pertains to all industrial, commercial, Production Kitchen, Bakery, laundry equipment and refrigeration systems park-wide.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, repair and/or replacement of all Industrial, commercial mechanical components to include but not limited to: Blast Chillers, Industrial Ice Machines, Steam Kettles, Dough Rounders, Dough Sheeters, Proofers, Rack Ovens Coolers, Industrial Mixers, Tram Washer, Dish Machines, Combi Ovens, Rack Systems, and associated controls and accessories site-wide to improve the operational reliability, safety, and serviceability of all Industrial, Production cooking, refrigeration systems and equipment.
Performing preventative maintenance on all production and bakery equipment site-wide which will include coil cleaning of all condensers and cleaning of all evaporators, verifying charges on refrigerants, verifying oil levels. Perform preventative maintenance on all industrial and commercial cooking equipment per manufacturers specs and recommendations.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting all commercial equipment related to laundry equipment and all restaurant gas, electric, steam, and refrigeration equipment.
Provide mechanical and technical guidance and expertise to Tech I Tech II and Tech III technicians and apprentices to continually improve the education, experience and skill set within the department.
Provides proper documents for ordering parts as needed for repairing equipment.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required
Technical school is preferred; Associate degree (AA) is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
6+ years’ equivalent experience with Commercial/Industrial Bakery, Production Kitchen, Laundry and refrigeration-associated equipment, is required
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
A valid Florida Driver’s License is required to operate company vehicles
(EPA) Universal Refrigerant Certificate is required
In addition, a national standard of commercial or industrial repair certification is required
