The Medical Assistant supports the Mohs Surgeon during procedures by managing sterile environments, assisting in tissue preparation, and providing post-operative care. They are also responsible for processing pathology specimens and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in the EMR system.
A high school diploma is required, while certifications such as CMA, RMA, LVN, or LPN and 1+ years of dermatology experience are preferred. Candidates must be proficient in sterile techniques and capable of working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

The Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Mohs Surgeon during procedures, ensuring a smooth surgical workflow, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing post-operative care instructions to patients. This role involves assisting in patient preparation, procedural support, wound care, and documentation. The Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant is also responsible for maintaining surgical instruments, processing pathology specimens, and ensuring compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards. Additionally, this role may require cross-training in the Mohs laboratory to assist with tissue processing as needed.
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week
