Job Description: This job is responsible for working with clients on pre charge off and post charge off collections needs, up to and including repossession assignments. Key responsibilities include managing more complex account relationships with an emphasis on legal matters, resolving client complaints, and leading team members. Job expectations include applying knowledge across all stages of delinquency, including recovery and repossession and work in environments requiring advanced problem solving, negotiations, and coaching capabilities.

Account Specialists have advanced experience with multiple products across all stages of delinquency, including recovery and repossession and work in environments requiring advanced problem solving, negotiations, and coaching skills. They conduct special research and other project assignments. Primary responsibilities are repossession title work, customer service and other loss mitigation and recovery activities. Works with internal lines of business, external vendors and third parties. Account Specialists work in relationship-based collection environments. Key accountabilities and responsibilities are like Sr. Collector II but are more advanced and complex in nature. This role manages more complex accounting relationships with an emphasis on financial analysis and credit action and legal matters. The specialist manages a portfolio of special assets, or portfolios usually consisting of less complex relationships, both secured and unsecured, and business loan losses. The specialist serves as a liaison to administrative areas within the bank. Ensures document compliance and security perfection as well as collateral monitoring/maintenance. Implement procedures to meet production deadlines, successfully execute service level agreements, manage relationships within the internal department and with business partners. They understand regulatory and compliance requirements that apply to Consumer Vehicle Lending Collections/Repossession and can work within these guidelines. Reviews and processes of repossession and recovery, legal and title documents.
Responsibilities:
Contacts delinquent, charged-off or high-risk clients in order to secure payment and determine reason for delinquency on active accounts
Works with clients to establish full balance repayment plans or settlements
Serves as a liaison to administrative areas within the bank and administers wire transfers, payments, deposits, advances, short sales, and settlements
Ensures document compliance and security perfection as well as collateral monitoring and maintenance
Executes procedures to meet production deadlines, successfully executes service level agreements, and manages relationships within the internal department and with business partners
Works in ownership-based collection environments conducting special research and other project assignments
Investigates daily incoming inquiries received from business partners; reviews to determine the best course of action for the account; validates and signs and/or notarizes the legal and title documents at our CVLC Jacksonville, FL location.
May be responsible for working with the business partners and legal counsel to address any concerns and handle daily correspondence regarding the process and for performing quality reviews of the completed steps.
Review to determine the best course of action for the account; ensure all previous validation and signature steps were completed properly.
Review of legal templates, including direct communications with Internal Legal Counsel; Title Vendors, and Department of Motor Vehicles.
Required Qualifications:
Must have current Credit Assistances experience
Experience managing accounts within consumer vehicle lending collections/repossessions, including prioritizing high volumes, meeting deadlines and service levels, and delivering client-focused solutions
Strong active listening and communication skills, with the ability to clearly understand needs and convey information to customers, peers, leadership, legal teams, and external partners
High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness across loan documentation, account handling, title work, and compliance activities
Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and internal policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Effective collaboration skills, building partnerships across departments such as legal, repossession, towing, and DMV offices
Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying, escalating, and resolving issues with resourcefulness
Proficiency in data entry and system navigation, maintaining accuracy across loan servicing platforms and tracking tools
Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes, systems, and regulatory requirements
Ability to work across multiple systems and tasks efficiently
Responsible for signing, notarizing, maintaining, and mailing documents onsite at the Jacksonville, FL CVLC location daily
Understanding and development of inline process reporting; procedure reviews and updates.
