Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a shipyard or marine environment and possess strong mechanical knowledge regarding pumps and rotating equipment. A Journeyman, Technical, or Associate's degree is preferred, along with certifications in confined space and gas-free operations.

Position Summary
The Marine Maintenance Technician Pumper is responsible for supporting the repair, overhaul, testing, and maintenance of marine pumps, valves, and related equipment while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This position also provides shipyard support services, including pumping, tank cleaning, gas-free, and compressed air operations, while maintaining compliance with NAVSEA requirements, Coast Guard regulations, and company safety, environmental, and 5S workplace standards.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand or walk; use hands and arms to grasp, handle, manipulate, or feel objects and controls; stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch; and speak or hear. The employee may lift and/or move up to 35lbs regularly and up to 75lbs occasionally. Work is performed both inside and outside in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, wet, humid, dry, and arid climates.
