Make a Difference Every Day
Are you passionate about helping older adults live safely, independently, and with dignity? Do you thrive in a role that combines hands-on caregiving with meaningful relationship-building? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Home Care Assistant / Universal Aide.
In this rewarding position, you'll play a vital role in supporting seniors both in their homes and within our day center environment. You'll work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate personal care, promote participant well-being, encourage engagement, and help individuals maintain the highest possible quality of life. What You'll Do
As a Home Care Assistant / Universal Aide, you will:
Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and meal support.
Deliver home care services in accordance with individualized care plans and physician-directed services.
Observe and report changes in participants' physical, emotional, or behavioral status to the clinical team.
Assist with restorative and supportive care activities that promote independence and well-being.
Facilitate and participate in group and individual activities designed to enhance engagement and quality of life.
Support participants during meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
Accompany participants to medical and community appointments when needed.
Assist with transportation activities, including participant loading, unloading, and escorting.
Maintain accurate documentation and participant records.
Contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, caregivers, and other interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional participant-centered care.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Current CPR certification.
Minimum of one year of experience working with older adults, seniors, or frail populations.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform the physical demands associated with direct care.
