Candidates must hold a Diploma in Nursing and be a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is preferred, and the ability to achieve FIM certification is required.

The role of the Registered Nurse is the promotion of health and the assessment of, the provision of care for and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means in order to attain or maintain optimal function.
