The SBA Business Development Officer is responsible for sourcing and structuring government-guaranteed loan pipelines, including SBA and USDA products. They serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing the loan process from initial application through to funding while ensuring compliance with bank policies.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, specifically with SBA lending at a preferred lender. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a deep understanding of federal banking regulations are required.
Job Summary
The SBA Business Development Officer will be responsible for sourcing a government guaranteed loan pipeline, appropriate structuring of lending opportunities, loan pricing in accordance with the bank’s guidelines and fee/premium strategy, providing initial credit analysis for lending activities, and SBA/USDA form processing. Primary responsibilities include active business development and origination of SBA real estate and non-real estate loan products in the business marketplace along with USDA Business and Industry Program loan products.
