The Civil Affairs Specialist provides research, analysis, and program support for Special Operations Forces within Operations in the Information Environment. The role involves developing and assessing Civil Affairs capabilities and force employment strategies across various Department of Defense stakeholders.
Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance and possess 6 to 8 years of experience depending on the degree level. Experience supporting military Special Operations, Civil Affairs, or related defense programs is required.
Position Overview
The Civil Affairs (CA) Specialist (Journeyman) provides research, analysis, planning, and program support for Special Operations Forces (SOF) Civil Affairs activities within Operations in the Information Environment (OIE). This role supports the development, integration, and assessment of Civil Affairs capabilities, programs, and force employment strategies across U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Geographic Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and other Department of Defense stakeholders.
The successful candidate will conduct operational and strategic analysis, support force development initiatives, and assist with the planning and execution of Civil Affairs programs that align with national defense and operational objectives.
