Candidates must have over 7 years of supervisory experience in facilities and equipment management and a valid Class 5 Driver's License. A Journeyman Trade status is considered an asset.

Reporting to the Vice President, Asset Protection, responsibilities for the position include the following:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and development of the Maintenance department.
Responsible for the organization, coordination, and direction of all work orders pertaining to Saskatoon Coop-owned and leased buildings.
Develop, plan, and follow preventative maintenance on all Co-op owned and leased buildings which includes equipment such as coolers, freezers, and other fixed assets with the exception of rolling stock.
Establish and maintain an inventory of tools and supplies required for maintenance work.
Ensure fleet vehicles and trailers are used in compliance with Saskatoon Co-op expectations while adhering to the government safety and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all department administration duties are completed meeting period-end and year end requirements.
Prepare an annual report list of major repairs or replacements for the Operations Managers and Directors which shall be supplied with quotes and estimates of costs to be budgeted.
Prepare an annual budget of the maintenance department for approval and conduct the daily operations within the approved budget guidelines.
Strong focus on safety-related concerns that require Maintenance department assistance for addressing. This includes fire protection, building security, equipment lockout, lighting etc.
Address all areas of hazards in conjunction with the Health and Safety specialist that are identified by the department or brought forward by team member in the organization.
Support Operations teams with projects of expansions, builds, or renovations.
Contractor Management with signed contracts and safety documentation including certifications and WCB paperwork for all work completed at Saskatoon Coop sites.
Adhere to the collective bargaining agreement expectations in all applicable areas of the department.
Qualifications:
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Journeyman Trade status would be considered an asset.
7+ Years of supervisory experience in Facilities and Equipment management.
Must have positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and be self motivated.
Must be well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with minimal supervision.
