The Foot Care Nurse provides proactive lower limb assessments and evidence-based nursing interventions as part of an interdisciplinary team. Key duties include nail and skin care, preventative client education, and maintaining strict infection control and sterilization standards.
Candidates must be a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a footcare certification. Two to three years of foot care nursing experience and fluency in English are required.

We are Somerset West Community Health Centre (SWCHC), a non-profit, community-governed organization that serves over 18,000 clients annually. Established in 1978, SWCHC provides a wide range of health care services such as primary health care, health promotion, community development, mental health, and harm reduction. What the Program Entails
SWCHC is well known for its excellent Community Health Centre (CHC) model and its professional health services team, but it has also become a leader in offering a wide range of community-building activities and advocacy programs. Our team of doctors, nurses, dietitians and more offer a range of medical services.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care the Footcare Nurse works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide foot care in conjunction with our Chiropodist and practitioners to enhance client quality of life through proactive lower limb assessment and evidence-based nursing interventions.
