The primary function of this position is to work independently or as a lead for the installation, repair and maintenance of all plant equipment and to perform the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds.
Job Responsibilities:

Safety:
Responsible to follow all safety procedures and practices
Help identify opportunities for safety improvements and assist in implementing the solutions as needed
Follow OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and any other local, state, and federal regulated guidelines.
Quality:
Ensures and maintains the quality guidelines, procedures, and standards are consistently followed throughout the manufacturing operation.
Responsibility & Customer Focused:
Responsible for preparing and maintaining all records associated with the work performed, including work orders, purchase orders, inventory records and all associated computer database inputs.
Responsible for keeping their work area clean and orderly at all times following the 5S principles.
May set-up equipment as needed.
Create, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic circuits
Create, maintain, troubleshoot, program and optimize PLC programs and associated equipment.
Assist with experimental equipment according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems or components.
Support 5S Lean practices: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment
Develop innovative solutions
Provide suggestions during incident investigations
Ensure projects are completed on time
Help maintain spare parts list and work with internal supplier to manage list
Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls
Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components
Perform tests and run initial batches to make sure that the machine is running smoothly
Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests
Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed
Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications
Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery
Move machinery and equipment

All tasks are to be performed in accordance with Grote’s safety & environmental procedures and within OSHA, NEC and NFPA 70E guidelines.
Self-motivated to research and look for ways to improve on process and equipment.
