Full job description
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working in one or more of the following fields: growth, product, brand, social, or partner marketing or research.
Experience in consulting and working with behavioural marketing data.
Experience with marketing and sales operations, financial analytics, or other related analytical experience.
Experience utilizing AI productivity tools to solve complex, multi-layered problems and streamline business or development workflows.
About the job:
Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As part of the Global Experiences and Marketing Operations team at Google Cloud, you will manage the planning, execution, and success measurement of key programs within our global developer event portfolio. You will also play a critical role in supporting the integration of relevant developer activities into Google's major first-party events, including Google Cloud Next. This role is essential for executing our event strategy and driving continuous engagement with our developer communities. You will manage the execution of multiple event projects, from workshops to specific workstreams within large-scale global developer conferences. For key strategic events, you will drive the operational execution cycle, while also collaborating closely with our regional marketing partners to support the broader global portfolio. You will help refine the narrative and strategic messaging for these events, ensuring our execution partners have the assets they need. You will also manage event budgets, track performance metrics, and compile reports that demonstrate how our events contribute to the Google Cloud business.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Support the development and execution of the annual event roadmap, helping to identify and implement the most effective types of events to engage developer audiences.
Drive the execution lifecycle, from planning to delivery, for select global events. Collaborate with regional marketers by providing guidance and essential resources to ensure consistent local execution.
Manage specific developer-focused activities and activations for Google and Google Cloud's premier first-party events, ensuring experiences run smoothly and resonate with developer audiences.
Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators. Compile insights and return on investment (ROI) data for monthly marketing leadership reviews.
Track and manage specific event budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness, adherence to financial guidelines, and accurate resource allocation.
A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. Bring your insight, imagination and a healthy disregard for the impossible. Bring everything that makes you unique. Together, we can build for everyone.
