The Senior Commercial Underwriter is responsible for underwriting complex commercial loan requests and ensuring they are properly structured and compliant with bank policy. This includes analyzing financial data, preparing approval packages, and recommending the granting or denial of loans.
Requires a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred) and at least 5 years of experience in credit underwriting or analysis. Candidates must be proficient in interpreting financial statements and have a strong understanding of lending regulations.
Shore United Bank is seeking a full-time Senior Commercial Underwriter to join our team. The Senior Commercial Underwriter is considered a credit analysis SME and is primarily responsible for underwriting the most complex commercial loan requests on a self-directed basis. This includes interfacing with the account officer to ensure the loan is properly structured and risk rated, compliant with regulations and bank policy, and that all relevant information has been obtained to identify and mitigate potential risk to the bank. The underwriter will be required to compile a final approval package for submission to the appropriate approval authority including financial statement spreads, global cash flow worksheets, written narratives, and supplementary tables and charts, which will require the review of source documents including, but not limited to, financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, and legal documents.
