Reporting to the Chief Programs Officer, the Job Developer QIDP supports Opportunity Village's mission by empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve meaningful employment and greater independence through person-centered, community-based services. This position provides person-centered job development, job coaching, job training, follow-along, and advocacy to support each individual's strengths, interests, preferences, and employment goals.
Working collaboratively with individuals served, members of their support network, community employers, the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR), Desert Regional Center (DRC), Clark County School District (CCSD), and interdisciplinary team members, this role develops and implements individualized employment strategies that promote informed choice, skill development, community inclusion, and long-term employment success. The Job Developer QIDP also cultivates community partnerships to expand employment opportunities, ensures compliance with applicable regulations and documentation requirements, and supports the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of new Job Development team members while contributing to the continued success of the Employment Training Programs team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize appropriate methods for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law. Reinforce and positively engage in Opportunity Village’s organizational culture supporting choice and creativity of individuals and of Team Members. Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with community referral sources and local businesses to strengthen existing partnerships, cultivate new employment opportunities, and increase competitive, community-based employment options for individuals served. Participate in the intake process, including conducting initial pre-screening to identify each individual's personal goals, support systems, interests, strengths, and potential abilities; assisting in the development of individualized vocational plans that support short- and long-term employment goals; and collaborating with and coaching members of the employment training team to promote successful outcomes. Travels to job sites to provide job coaching to individuals. Works with individuals, in their places of employment, to provide guidance, feedback, and insight as to how job functions might be completed in a more effective and efficient manner to meet employer’s expectations. Work with individuals to expand and enhance their job readiness in preparation for advancement within Opportunity Village or employment in the community. This includes assisting with résumé preparation, completing job applications, preparing for interviews, attending job interviews as appropriate, and supporting individuals during orientation and onboarding as needed. Prepare and submit required documentation within established timeframes, including, but not limited to, departmental reports, interdisciplinary (ID) notes, incident reports, weekly and monthly job coach and job development reports, mileage reimbursement requests, Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR) and Desert Regional Center (DRC) billing and quarterly reports. Comply with all federal and state regulations and Opportunity Village policies and procedures, and assist with coordination involving regulatory and governing agencies, including Adult Protective Services (APS), local law enforcement, and other applicable entities. Some travel to a variety of locations in the Las Vegas area. Must be able to meet all requirements of OV vehicle policies and travel:
Between worksite locations. Within the community.
Adhere to Opportunity Village's established policies and procedures. May be assigned other duties as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position coordinates and provides team leadership for the Job Development Team Members.
QualificationsSKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, team members, and supervisors (verbal and written). Strong time management and organizational skills. Must possess initiative and work well with others in a team-oriented environment. Must possess social perceptiveness to assess and understand others’ reactions and behaviors. Ability to resolve multiple complex issues simultaneously while remaining calm in stressful situations. Ability to accept and apply performance-based feedback. Ability to conduct tasks and successfully perform under critical deadlines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Service field, i.e., Psychology, Sociology, Social Work etc. Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) certified. Required: Minimum of one (1) year of work experience with case management. Required: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Required: ACRE (Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators) Basic Employment Services certification within 90 days of employment. Required: Must be 21 years of age or older. Required: Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements. Required: Current CPI certification within 30 days of employment. Required: Current CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
