The Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for monitoring work environments to resolve safety issues and ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. They lead incident investigations, conduct site-wide inspections, and develop safety training programs for employees and contractors.
Candidates must have over 3 years of experience in a health and safety role and be certified in OSHA 10/30 and First Aid/CPR/AED training. Strong organizational skills and the ability to evaluate industrial processes are highly desired.

The Health & Safety Specialist will assist in the preparation and training related to health and safety of site personnel with a primary emphasis on OSHA, hazard recognition, workplace inspections, safety training, site specific awareness, and emergency response. The Health and Safety Specialist helps train workers in safety procedures and requirements, monitor working conditions, and ensure proper procedures are in place and being followed. The Health & Safety Specialist also takes an active role in the facilities emergency response plans and incident investigations by assisting in developing, inspecting, auditing procedures, coordinating response actions, and developing corrective actions to deal with hazards and emergencies.
Under the supervision of the EHS Manager, the Health and Safety Specialist leads investigations, identifies, reports, and recommends corrective action for a wide variety of workplace industrial hygiene factors that may impact employee safety, health, and productivity.
