Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU

Where You Will Work:
The Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit is a state-of-the-art, 24-bed facility dedicated to the treatment of patients recovering from complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions, as well as those requiring post-operative neurosurgical care. State of the art Comprehensive Stroke Center Certified. Recognized as the top 10% in the country for Neurology & Neurosurgery and Stroke care by U.S. News & World Report. Within this unit, highly skilled clinical professionals from various disciplines provide continuous, comprehensive care to patients following intricate neurosurgical procedures or facing life-threatening neurological disorders. We employ a patient-centered approach, offering extensive neurological services that support seamless continuity of care.
Patient-centered care in the Neuro ICU is achieved through effective teamwork, compassion, innovation, education, and research. Our nursing staff are proficient in operating diverse ICU equipment, such as tubes, lines, drains, invasive hemodynamic monitoring devices, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Specialized interventions include management of EVD and SEPS drains, post-thrombolytic care, and post-interventional radiology care.
Expectations We’re Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
1-2 years of ICU experience preferred
What You’ll Do:
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
