The Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies (OACAS) has represented Children’s Aid Societies in Ontario since 1912, providing service in the areas of government relations, communications, information management, education, and training to advocate for the protection and well-being of children.
The Child Welfare Practice & Curriculum Analyst (Learning) is a child welfare practice expert responsible for translating Ontario child welfare legislation, policy, standards, and frontline practice into sector-leading learning and curriculum. The role requires a deep understanding of child welfare decision-making, service delivery, case management, and practice accountability, together with the ability to develop evidence-informed learning products that promote equitable, culturally responsive, and strengths-based practice by integrating anti-oppressive, anti-racism, anti-Black racism, and anti-Indigenous racism principles across Ontario's child welfare sector.
This role is distinct from service delivery functions and focuses on practice interpretation, knowledge mobilization, and sector-wide learning. The Analyst leads the development of practice-based curriculum, facilitates training, and actively engages sector partners—including Children’s Aid Societies, Indigenous Child and Family Well-Being Agencies, and system stakeholders—to ensure learning products reflect current realities, diverse perspectives, and emerging needs.
Working within cross-functional project teams, the role bridges policy, practice, and learning, while strengthening sector relationships through collaboration, consultation, and co-development.
