The Role
Moderna is seeking an Individual to help design, scale, and modernize global Digital Commercial capabilities across SAP S/4HANA, logistics execution, pricing, billing, invoicing, integrations, data, analytics, and emerging AI-enabled solutions.
This is a global role supporting Moderna’s commercial and distribution capabilities across the US, Europe, APAC, and other international markets. The role will partner with Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Market Access, Manufacturing, Quality, and Digital teams to design scalable solutions that support Moderna’s growing global business.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution, with depth in one or more areas such as solution architecture, logistics execution, distribution, pricing, billing, 3PL integration, Model N integration, analytics, enterprise integration architecture, or global template delivery.
This is not a narrow SAP configuration role. It is a broader solution architecture opportunity for someone who wants to help shape the future of global commercial digital operations across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
Moderna’s commercial digital landscape continues to expand across markets, products, partners, and geographies. As the business scales globally, Moderna needs strong solution architecture capability across the full Order-to-Invoice value chain — from order capture through allocation, logistics execution, shipment, delivery confirmation, billing, invoicing, analytics, and downstream finance touchpoints.
This role will help shape how SAP S/4HANA, Model N, integration platforms, 3PL systems, wholesalers, distributors, transportation platforms, analytics platforms, and AI capabilities work together as a scalable global ecosystem.
The successful candidate will also help Moderna prepare for future SAP capabilities, including SAP S/4HANA upgrades, Joule, SAP Business AI, automation, analytics modernization, integration simplification and future SAP capabilities relevant to commercial and distribution operations.
Here’s What You’ll Do

- You will provide architecture guidance across order management, pricing, billing, invoicing, delivery processing, inventory touchpoints, batch determination, allocation, output management, and downstream integrations.
- You will coordinate functional activities across Sales, Logistics Execution, Pricing, Billing, and Integration workstreams, including solution decisions, dependencies, risks, and delivery readiness.
- You will support global template design, SAP S/4HANA upgrade readiness, integration modernization, data/analytics enablement, and adoption of future SAP capabilities such as BTP, Joule, SAP Business AI etc.
- You will mentor and develop team members, helping grow SAP SD, logistics execution, pricing, billing, integration, and solution architecture capabilities.
