Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Account Executive to drive growth and deepen customer relationships within the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Public Sector. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic government accounts, developing account plans, and delivering revenue targets while helping customers achieve their cloud transformation goals involving AI, data, analytics, cloud and IT modernisation. The Account Executive will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment alongside Solutions Architects, Professional Services, and Partner teams to deliver innovative cloud solutions that improve public sector outcomes. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, build strong executive relationships, and act as the primary commercial point of contact for your accounts.

This role will be based in Melbourne, Australia.
Key job responsibilities - Increase adoption of AWS cloud services in a defined territory - Challenge outdated approaches to IT - Utilise internal resources to drive customer outcomes - Increase revenue across a portfolio of customers - Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets - Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business - Create and articulate a compelling value propositions to customers - Analyze sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve the strategy - Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement - Build, develop and then execute on an account and territory strategy - Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities - Assist customers in identifying use cases for adoption of cloud services - Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience - Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent - Experience and track record of exceeding sales goals - Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience with government procurement and contracting process
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling cloud solutions at a software company or equivalent - Knowledge of AWS services - Government sales experience - Experience in digital transformation programs within government, healthcare, or education
