The Role
DAS is seeking skilled project managers and project controls managers to join our growing business. As we expand our services across Australia, we are on the lookout for seasoned professionals from critical national infrastructure industries, namely defence, transport, energy and water.
We have numerous opportunities for self-motivated and well-connected individuals who are looking for variety in their work. You can expect to deliver core project work for our clients, manage client relationships, and develop our team across the country.

Based in Sydney, Adelaide or Brisbane, you’ll lead client delivery, grow a high-performing teams, and play a key role in business development and client management. Key responsibilities might include:
Strategic Growth & Business Development: Identify new opportunities, secure professional services engagements, and lead tender preparation (e.g. EOIs, RFPs, RFQs) across state and federal markets, with a strong focus on client needs and market trends
Project Delivery & Oversight: Lead the delivery of major infrastructure projects both as an advisor and embedded leader, ensuring high-quality, practical outcomes that meet and exceed client expectations
Key Account Management: Act as the primary interface with Government agencies, relevant authorities, and private sector clients, maintaining strong relationships and a deep understanding of their evolving priorities
Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with other business units, local and international partners to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions and integrated project outcomes

You are a Lead Consultant, Project Director, or Team Leader / Manager with a deep understanding of Australia’s infrastructure landscape and a strong network across the NSW, SA, and/or QLD market. You’re commercially astute, hands-on when needed, and thrive in an environment where you can shape strategy as well as lead delivery.
We’re looking for individuals who have:
8-10+ years of experience within infrastructure projects, with a focus on defence, energy, transport or water, and an appropriate higher education qualification for their area
A respected industry profile, with established relationships across Government and private sector organisations and a willingness to travel interstate to develop the business and deliver projects
Previous experience in substantive positions within complex projects, whether in embedded leadership / Project Director roles or engagements as the authority within advisory services. With this, you will be able to demonstrate a ‘task focus’; and an ability to distil complex challenges into clear, balanced and practical advice
A track record of finding, winning and delivering work, whether in an embedded leadership role, as a trusted advisor, or Subject Matter Expert
Strong commercial and client-facing skills, such as contract negotiation, budgeting, or bid management
Proven leadership and line management skills such as building teams, team management, or capability development
Excellent communication skills, known for being a well organised self-starter
