Hey you!
Our team is looking for a Therapy Team Lead who loves supporting people just as much as they would embrace this opportunity shape great clinical practice across our team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide and support our passionate Allied Health team while still staying connected to the work and helping people achieve meaningful outcomes every day. You’ll help create a positive, collaborative team environment, support clinicians to do their best work, and drive high-quality, person-centred support across our NDIS services.
While our team has a strong Occupational Therapy presence, we’re absolutely open to Allied Health professionals from a range of backgrounds. More than anything, we’re looking for someone with strong Allied Health experience in the NDIS space and a genuine passion for supporting both clients and clinicians.
At genU, we’re a profit-for-purpose organisation, reinvesting our success back into programs to create real social impact. From disability and aged care support to community-focused initiatives, we’re here to help people live their best lives.
We're open to flexible hours, part-time, or job share arrangements – because great people thrive in different ways.
What you’ll do
As the Therapy Team Lead in our Allied Health team, you’ll:
Guide clinicians toward meaningful outcomes, drawing on your experience and expertise within NDIS settings.
Support the team to achieve service targets and KPIs, while keeping an eye on performance and budgets.
Champion quality, safeguarding, and continuous improvement across the team.
Oversee referrals, triage, and client allocation to ensure participants receive the right support at the right time.
Manage incidents end-to-end, ensuring documentation and follow-up are clear, timely, and meaningful.
Stay hands-on by managing a small caseload and continuing to deliver therapy services.
What you’ll bring
Current AHPRA registration. While our team is largely Occupational Therapists, we’re totally open to Allied Health backgrounds including Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Psychology, and more.
Strong experience in an NDIS Allied Health setting, with a solid understanding of best-practice support.
A genuine enthusiasm for supporting clinicians through supervision, coaching, and development.
Great communication skills and a natural ability to build strong relationships and contribute to a positive team environment.
The ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including clients, families, referrers, and colleagues.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
Why you’ll love working at genU
At genU, we’re committed to creating a welcoming, safe, and respectful space where everyone is empowered to play their part in the important work that we do.
