Full job description
You’re only human.
It’s a strange thing to say, because us humans are capable of incredible things. And at Medibank, we know our greatest potential lies in the people who work with us.
We strive to make real, fundamental change, driven by a simple purpose: to create the best health and wellbeing for all of Australia.
The Opportunity: Learning Partner - Risk (12 Month Fixed-Term Contract)
An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate Learning Partner to shape how risk and compliance capability comes to life across Medibank. In this role you’ll partner closely with the Enterprise Risk Management Hub, Enterprise Delivery and the Learning & Development Squad to uplift critical learning pathways, embed strong risk practices, and enable our people to confidently manage risk in their day-to-day roles.
This is a highly visible role where you’ll influence how risk and compliance are understood, applied and sustained across the business. You’ll apply your learning expertise, curiosity and stakeholder skills to create practical, engaging experiences that drive real behaviour change and strengthen customer and business outcomes.
How you will create value
In this broad and fast-paced role, you will use your learning, risk and stakeholder skills to add value by:
Leading the review and uplift of risk & compliance learning pathways, ensuring they are targeted, relevant and drive meaningful capability uplift across critical roles.
Designing and shaping learning journeys that simplify complex risk concepts and make them practical, actionable and embedded in everyday work.
Building and delivering a forward-looking compliance training roadmap aligned to regulatory requirements and annual refresh timelines.
Partnering closely with SMEs, Content Owners and Learning Designers to modernise training and improve engagement, relevance and completion outcomes.
Using insights from regulatory activity, audits and business feedback to continuously refine learning priorities and focus areas.
Facilitating engaging sessions and interventions that build risk awareness, ownership and confidence across leaders and teams.
Supporting innovative approaches to learning, experimentation and continuous improvement to ensure programs are impactful and measurable.
Influencing stakeholders across the business to build advocacy for learning and strengthen Medibank’s overall risk and compliance maturity.
About you
You’re a proactive and adaptable learning professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys turning technical or regulatory concepts into engaging, practical learning experiences. You’re comfortable working with senior stakeholders and bring a strong sense of ownership to the outcomes you deliver.
Other key attributes include:
Demonstrated experience (5+ years preferred) in instructional design and end-to-end learning delivery, ideally within risk & compliance or a regulated environment.
Experience partnering with Enterprise Risk, Compliance or equivalent functions to design and deliver capability uplift initiatives.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and drive outcomes across diverse teams.
Ability to translate complex information into simple, engaging and behaviour-focused learning solutions.
Experience in training needs analysis, measurement and continuous improvement of learning programs.
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent) is desirable.
