The VE Teacher is responsible for delivering course material, assessing student competency, and supervising students within the electrical trades program. They must also provide effective facilitation and implement solutions for student learning challenges.
Candidates must hold relevant trade qualifications and licenses, along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Experience in the electrical industry and a commitment to competency-based vocational education are essential.
We are seeking expressions of interest for current or aspiring VE Teachers, Electrical who have relevant industry qualifications and vocational teaching qualifications OR currently obtaining a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and Cert III and IV in Electrical.
Electrical & Instrumentation
As a VE Teacher at RMIT, you will be mainly responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses in the schools.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods.
Skills and experience in competency-based assessment and ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.
The capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions.
