We are looking for a passionate and motivated Behaviour Support Practitioner – Core to join our growing Allied Health team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career or developing practitioner to build their expertise in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) while receiving ongoing supervision, mentorship and professional development from experienced clinicians.
In this rewarding role, you will support people with disability who have complex support needs, helping them improve their quality of life through evidence-based, human rights-focused behaviour support. You'll work closely with participants, families, carers and support teams to create meaningful and lasting change.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner - Core, you will:
Manage a clinical caseload and provide person-centred Positive Behaviour Support services.
Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments to understand the purpose of behaviours of concern and identify opportunities to enhance quality of life.
Develop and implement Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans that are evidence-based, practical and responsive to participant needs.
Deliver interventions that reduce behaviours of concern, build skills and support participants to achieve their goals.
Provide training and coaching to families, carers and support teams to ensure behaviour support strategies are successfully implemented.
Monitor and evaluate outcomes, including improvements in quality of life and reductions in restrictive practices.
Work under the guidance and supervision of experienced practitioners to continue developing your skills and professional capability.
Champion human rights, inclusion, choice and control in all aspects of your practice.

Experience working as a Core Behaviour Support Practitioner within the NDIS framework.
An understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and human rights-based practice.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with participants, families and stakeholders.
The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a positive team culture.
A compassionate, strengths-based approach to supporting people with disability.
Commitment to ongoing learning, professional development and reflective practice.
Experience within disability, support coordination, advocacy or community services will be highly regarded.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Disability, Health or a related field.
Registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Core Practitioner under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
Previous experience working as a Core Practitioner under the NDIS PBS Capability Framework.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current Working with Children Check.
Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
