About the role:
We are seeking a Coordinator to join our Outbound Deakin Abroad team and help students access enriching global learning experiences. You will manage a portfolio of Global Learning Programs and, in partnership with the Global Learning Lead and Senior Manager, contribute to the development, promotion and successful delivery of learning abroad programs.
As a Coordinator, you will:
Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of Deakin Abroad's short-term partner programs and other global learning experiences, including communication and promotional campaigns, while ensuring compliance with university policies, systems and procedures and delivering a high-quality student experience.
Lead key global learning initiatives and projects that enhance student participation and international mobility, including the administration of New Colombo Plan scholarship rounds.
Build and maintain productive relationships with students, faculties, international partners and other stakeholders, providing high-quality advice and service that supports successful program delivery.
Contribute to a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture by supporting wellbeing, demonstrating self-awareness and fostering collaboration
Strive for excellence and regularly consult with clients to clarify who requires the information, the purpose for which it is required, criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendation is required
In a typical day/week, you will:
Plan and prioritises work and critical activities appropriately and recognises barriers to achieving outcomes, finds practical ways to deal with them and evaluates progress
Work collaboratively with a diverse range of students, faculties, international partners and colleagues to achieve shared outcomes.
Analyse information, identify practical solutions and exercise sound judgement to resolve issues and improve the student experience.
Build trusted relationships through responsive communication, stakeholder engagement and high-quality customer service.
Balance competing priorities across multiple programs, making informed decisions and adapting to changing deadline
To be successful, you’ll have:
A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Experience coordinating or administering Learning Abroad programs, international education, or other student-facing programs in a complex organisational environment.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality services while applying policies, procedures and administrative systems.
Experience building productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, academic staff, international partners and external providers.
Demonstrated ability to support student wellbeing and exercise sound judgement when responding to student enquiries and emerging issues.
