You will also have exposure to other private capital strategies within HOOPP Capital Partners, and may have opportunities to support the execution and management of selected private equity or private credit investments within the portfolio.
This is a foundational role designed for intellectually curious, motivated individuals who are eager to contribute to help advance HOOPP’s venture capital and growth equity strategy over time. The role offers strong development opportunities with increasing responsibility based on performance, including exposure to leading venture capital fund managers, growth-stage companies, internal investment teams, and cross-functional partners across HOOPP.

Monitor financial and operational performance of venture capital and growth equity investments, including both fund investments and direct/co-investments
Assist with periodic valuations, performance attribution, investment reporting, and portfolio review materials
Support analysis of follow-on investment opportunities, financing alternatives, exit considerations, and other portfolio company developments
Help manage investment relationships with fund managers, company management teams, intermediaries, consultants, and other external partners
Stay abreast of developments in venture capital, growth equity, technology markets, regulation, and relevant legal, tax, and risk matters
Strategic and Internal Initiatives
Contribute to research and analysis on investment themes, sectors, structures, and emerging technologies
Support the continued evolution of HOOPP’s venture capital and growth equity strategy in collaboration with senior team members
Engage with internal stakeholders across investments, legal, tax, accounting, operations, risk, and other teams to support transaction execution and portfolio management
Collaborate with HOOPP’s AI Lab and broader internal partners to share insights, enhance analysis, and identify opportunities to apply technology and AI tools to investment processes
Contribute to team initiatives, including process improvements, knowledge sharing, portfolio-level strategy, risk management, and sustainability-related work
What you bring:
3–5 years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, investment banking, private equity, or a related investment role
University degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field, with strong academic performance
Demonstrated interest in venture capital, growth equity, technology investing, innovation, and private markets
