The OSP Designer is responsible for developing cost-efficient fiber and copper network route designs based on field data and customer specifications. They collaborate with GIS and CAD teams to produce documentation for permitting and ensure the integrity of the customer access network.
Candidates should have sound OSP engineering experience with fiber and copper networks and proficiency in tools like AutoCAD and GIS platforms. A bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Engineering is preferred, or equivalent technical school certification.

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a full-time OSP Designer in support of a large-scale telecommunications project for both OSP Fiber and Copper Networks.
The position requires experience with outside plant in aerial, buried, and/or underground facilities, as well as a thorough knowledge of all issues related to federal, state, or local government permitting. Additionally, it requires familiarity with pole and conduit licensing procedures and utility permitting agencies. The OSP Engineer must work cohesively with the Engineering PM.
