PROFILE SUMMARY
Wesgroup is seeking a dependable, hands-on Quality Control Assistant to join our Customer Care team in a one-year fixed term position. In this role, you will support on-site quality control by inspecting homes and common areas, completing physical tasks, documenting updates, and reporting progress back to the team.
Working closely with the Quality Control team, Construction, Customer Care, Sales, Property Management, trades, suppliers, and homeowners, you will help maintain project standards, support project readiness, assist with cleaning and minor repairs, monitor trade access, secure units, and contribute to successful project milestones.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support the Quality Control team by completing assigned tasks that contribute to project milestones, home readiness, quality standards, and scheduled possession dates.
Assist with site organization, access control, unit preparation, securing units, and project completion activities.
Maintain awareness of project priorities and communicate task completion, challenges, and support requirements to team members in a timely manner.
Assist with identifying, documenting, tracking, and verifying deficiencies throughout residential buildings and common areas.
Use construction software and reporting tools to update records, complete follow-up inspections, and report outstanding concerns to Quality Control team members for further action.
Complete basic cleaning, touch-ups, and minor repair tasks to prepare homes and common areas for inspection, homeowner orientation, and occupancy.
Monitor site conditions and proactively identify potential issues that could impact quality, safety, security, or project readiness.
Support a clean, safe, organized, and professional project environment through attention to detail and proactive communication.
Develop knowledge of residential construction, quality control practices, customer care processes, company standards, and site expectations through training and on-the-job learning.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED required; a certificate, trades foundation program, or related post-secondary education is preferred.
Some experience in construction, facilities, building operations, customer service, project support, or a related environment.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Experience in residential construction or a trade environment is considered an asset.
Experience performing basic repairs, cleaning, inspections, or site support activities is preferred.
Experience using mobile applications, construction software, or task tracking and reporting tools is an asset.
Strong organization, time management, attention to detail, communication, prioritization, and adaptability.
Ability to follow direction while working independently and maintaining a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Basic construction and hand tool knowledge, with willingness to continue learning residential construction and quality control practices.
Comfortable working on active project sites, walking through buildings, reviewing and documenting deficiencies, completing physical tasks, and addressing or repairing deficiencies where appropriate.
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
Annual Base Salary: The expected salary range for this role is $52,000 - $58,000 per annum. Actual offered salary will depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
