The State Library of Oregon provides leadership and resources to continue growing vibrant library services for Oregonians. This position is part of the Government Information and Library Services program that provides quality information services to assist state employees in the efficient performance of their jobs and in more effective decision-making for state government.
What You’ll Do
As the Government Documents Librarian, you’ll provide library services to State employees of Oregon and members of the public. You are responsible for reference services to users and coordinating responsibilities in the Oregon Documents program for the Government Information and Library Services division. Through providing reference services to customers, you’ll support the information needs of state employees as they perform their jobs in state service.
An American Library Association (ALA) accredited Master of Library Science degree.
The ideal candidate will possess the following desired skills and attributes:
Demonstrated cataloging and collection coordination experience working with government documents in a library or archive environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with little oversight, as well as in teams and to successfully work with a widely diverse group of individuals.
Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and develop skills in a changing work environment and to assist teammates navigate through system and organizational changes effectively and positively.
Demonstrated ability to develop instruction materials for adults in multiple formats and modalities.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, plan short- and long-term projects, and adjust according to new information and feedback from supervisor and peers.

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range.
