Position Summary:
The Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies provides access to degrees and non-credit programs that engage, educate and empower lifelong learners and communities. The Office of Summer Sessions and Precollege Programs designs, develops and supports the creation of new, in-demand, multidisciplinary credit-bearing summer courses and non-credit precollege programs across campus, so more students from various backgrounds are served, including rising high schoolers. The Office of Summer Sessions & Precollege Programs seeks a Program Administrator II to join the team - a role that provides administrative and programmatic support for a range of new initiatives, including the coaching and enrollment of visiting high schoolers for the summer semester. The incumbent will also help organize annual community events and maintain important office records, including strategic plans, annual budgets and expense reports, as needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and individual initiative, as well as excellent collaboration, customer service and communication skills. They will also have an enthusiasm for opening access to lifelong learning, community engagement and student empowerment, especially over the summer semester.
Workplace Requirements:
This position is offered as a hybrid role, combining both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. Eventually, the program coordinator may work from home for up to two (2) days per week. Per Rice policy 440, work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range:$49,187 - $61,408 annually
*Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree

Essential Functions:
Administers the daily operations of assigned program(s) with general guidance of the Executive Director
Conducts research, analyzes data, identifies trends and develops reports
Plans and monitors annual project budgets, assists in the development of longer terms budget plans
Recommends and implements outreach plans, including communications, events, marketing, conferences, etc.
Plans and coordinates logistical aspects of recruitment activities
Provides support to faculty, staff and students as related to the program
May assist with student recruitment and admissions, student records, curriculum support, coordinating the accreditation process, managing scholarships and fellowships, and monitoring student progress. Performs all other duties as assigned
Additional Functions:
Assists the Executive Director of PreCollege and Summer Programs in the administration, organization, and strategic growth of this emerging office by:
Carrying out key tasks related to summer session student support, enrollment and cross campus communications and record keeping.
Supporting on-going project-based partnerships and new initiatives with Rice school teams and third parties in various ways, including strategic communications, record-keeping and reporting and billing and payroll.
Assisting with the building and management of the office budget, including tracking and recording of all expenses and revenues and reporting them according to school standards, systems and timelines
Completing key timely tasks as needed, including market research and data analysis, document creation and resource design and development
Representing the office and its initiatives from time to time at public events on campus and off, as needed
