This opportunity is full-time during third shift (18% Shift Differential).
In this role, you will:
Perform a vital part of the patient care process by ensuring laboratory specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored
Work within an automated laboratory environment, including loading and unloading instrumentation and maintaining workflow efficiency
Perform physically demanding tasks, including routine lifting of up to 40–50 lbs
Support instrument maintenance by clearing consumables such as pipette tips and decapped tube caps, including proper disposal of biohazard waste
Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards while adhering to PPE requirements
Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
All you need is:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing
Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent lifting (up to 40–50 lbs), standing, and repetitive motion in a fast-paced environment
Comfort working with and disposing of biohazard materials in accordance with safety protocols
Bonus points if you’ve got:
1–2 years of related experience in a clinical laboratory, data entry, production, or automation-focused environment
