About the Role:
We’re looking for reliable, conscientious individuals with who take pride in shiny clean spaces. This is a Full-Time opportunity to support our client by providing an essential service – keeping their workforce safe. If you understand the importance of Health & Safety, sanitation and cleanliness, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Be Doing:
Perform light and heavy cleaning duties and ensure facilities are cleaned. These are, but not limited to:
Disinfecting all high touch point areas
Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming
Cleaning building common areas, hallways, lobbies, bathrooms, kitchen etc.
Collect and dispose of trash in garbage containers on a regular basis
Spot cleaning walls, ceilings, partitions, light switches and window sills, door glass
Scrubbing, mopping, heavy sweeping, cleaning of light fixtures and replacing bulbs, and general maintenance duties confined under the Janitorial Industry
Lead and coordinate the work of cleaners on shift
Follow pre-set policies, guidelines, and rules to maintain a safe working environment.
Inspect sites to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met
Recommend and communicate to Supervisors to arrange for additional services as necessary
Training new cleaning staff
Provide excellent customer service to represent Alpine in professional manners.
Operate cleaning equipment such as: auto scrubbers, carpet cleaners, high dusting equipment, Etc.
Ability to use and operate industrial and or heavy cleaning machines and equipment; some are but not limited to: scrubbing and sweeping machines, carpet extractors, leaf blowers, pressure washers etc.
Enhanced cleaning as per work orders when requested
Additional tasks assigned by Manager
You have:
A minimum of 2 years of cleaning experience in a commercial setting (preferred)
Experience with heavy cleaning machinery(preferred)
Motivation and a willingness to work + learn
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
Strong time management skills in order to ensure all work is completed by the end of shift
Ability to take initiative to determine and complete necessary tasks, even with minimal supervision
Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine
Be eligible to obtain applicable security clearance(s)
Knowledge of WHMIS is not required, but considered an asset
Must be able to pass a background check
