The Electrical Substation Engineer will lead the development of preliminary and detailed design drawings for HV and MV substations while performing electrical calculations and equipment sizing. They will also coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, liaise with clients and regulatory authorities, and participate in site visits and commissioning activities.
Candidates must have at least 6 years of experience in electrical layout, preferably with large Canadian Utilities, and hold a bachelor degree in electrical engineering. Professional registration with EGBC or the ability to register is required, along with advanced knowledge of electrical design standards.

CIMA+ is currently looking for an Electrical Substation Engineer. To be successful in this role you will have a strong understanding of the engineering environment in electrical design of High Voltage/Medium Voltage substations for Utilities and industrial clients and will be working with multi-disciplinary teams to design in accordance with clients’ requirements and applicable codes and standards. This is a hybrid position that will be based out of our Vancouver office.
