The Pipe Layer is responsible for laying and joining concrete and plastic pipes for drains, sewers, and utilities. This includes preparing ground, grading trenches, and maintaining tools and equipment according to safety standards.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read civil blueprints. Physical ability to lift over 50 lbs and proficiency in English are required.
Under the direction of the Foreperson and Site Superintendent, the Pipe Layer is to lay and join concrete, and plastic, pipe for drains, sewers, and small utilities. This position will ensure that the ground is prepared and the trenches dug out for the pipes. The work requires manual labor as well as assisting other positions involved in the projects with hands-on work.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
$36-50 per hour based on experience
