Full job description

Get the important work done. Build the systems that make it stick.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Execution Lead, Asset Operations, who can turn plans into progress, keep complex work moving, and help build the operating foundation for a growing asset operations function. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role working directly with the VP, Asset Operations on priority initiatives across asset operations, asset management, capital project execution, customer care, PMO, rate work, modernization, and business transformation.

No two months will look the same. You’ll need to move quickly, think clearly, and bring structure without slowing people down.

What You’ll Do

Drive execution and delivery

  • Carry the planning, risk assessment, tracking, and completion of priority initiatives across asset operations, asset management, capital project execution, customer care, and PMO, coordinating contributors and keeping the work on schedule and on target. This includes supporting broader business transformation initiatives.
  • Stand up and maintain recurring reporting, dashboards, and trackers across asset operations, asset management, and construction activity.
  • Provide the analysis that supports decisions and tracks how initiatives and operations are performing.

Improve and standardize how the work gets done

  • Identify recurring inefficiencies in operational and administrative workflows and put practical fixes in place.
  • Draft and refine operating policies and procedures, grounded in how the work is done and informed directly by the managers and staff who perform it, keeping them current as the work changes.
  • Document and standardize processes so improvements persist after an initiative closes, working with data and automation teams to specify reporting and tooling needs.

Build the department's operating foundation

  • Design and improve the tools, processes, and structures that the function runs on, keeping them documented, repeatable, and ready to scale.
  • Build that foundation to be adaptable: ready to pivot to new opportunities and absorb change and new assets without disruption.

Track risk and resources

  • Maintain risk and issue logs across initiatives and escalate as needed.
  • Track initiative budgets, resource allocation, and spend against plan, flagging variances. (Financial tracking supports, and does not replace, review by FP&A.)

Drive cross-functional delivery and follow-through

  • Maintain disciplined, closed-loop communication, managing the open items, scheduling, and decision points that keep initiatives moving.
  • Build working relationships across departments and align contributors who do not report into the role toward shared outcomes, driving accountability through influence and trust rather than authority.
  • Work with the managers executing initiatives to surface risks and decision points and package them clearly for senior leadership to act on.

Support the PMO

  • Help the Project Management Office execute and standardize project delivery requirements, and work alongside line functions to help them meet PMO standards in practice.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in project execution, operations, analysis, or a similar delivery-focused role, ideally in a utility, infrastructure, or asset-intensive environment.
  • A blend of project management discipline and analytical capability.
  • A track record of carrying varied work through to completion with minimal oversight, while keeping quality and detail intact under time pressure.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, moving at speed across several initiatives at once with the thoroughness to catch what others miss.
  • Aligns and motivates people who do not report to the role, driving accountability through influence and trust rather than authority.
  • Disciplined, closed-loop follow-through: open items and commitments do not fall through the cracks.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives and business functions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including surfacing risks and decisions in a form leadership can act on.
  • Familiarity with PMO standards and project delivery frameworks is preferred.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
