Arcadis Canada Mobility's Digital, Road Design and CAD discipline is searching for a BIM Manager to join its growing team. The Manager will have direct reports and will be facilitating the BIM production team liaising with various discipline groups that represent the Mobility group. In addition, the Manager will be part of a national network of office-focused BIM leaders governed by Canada Mobility BIM Lead. This Manager would be part of an overall mission focusing on cross-sector synergy empowering global work-sharing, standardization and optimization, as well as shepherding cross-sector collaboration and data harnessing throughout a project’s lifecycle.

Role accountabilities:
This person will lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project and in their professional development. You will liaise with the project team, Information Manager and Project Manager to review all models/drawings for the project and make any necessary amendments. You will review detailed work plans to ensure work is successfully completed within budget and deadlines. The successful candidate with apply BIM processes and able to establish and implement a BIM Execution Plan (objectives, requirements and conditions) and a delivery strategy in conjunction with a client and delivery team.
You will manage the performance of a small team of employees to ensure timely delivery and effective utilization of resources and guide project teams through the BIM process and provide ad hoc assistance to the wider practice when required. Additionally you will oversee an agreed scope of work and the operational workload of a project team including sub-contractors, ensuring work is allocated appropriately and resources are fully utilized.
Develop effective working relationships with the Project Director or Manager and with the client to ensure there is effective communication of progress and changes, as well as the resolution of issues
Manage the BIM process supported by the necessary tools in large scale projects, including multi-stakeholders
Provide input to the development of the companies BIM policies and strategies related to BIM
Implement and ensure compliance with companies BIM policies and strategies within the team
Adapt and adjust the strategy related to information, quality, process and HR management to support the BIM implementation
Ensure compliance with Arcadis drafting and BIM standards and national drafting and BIM standards throughout all projects
Continuous review of the optimal BIM related software and develop business cases for new investments
Qualifications & Experience:
7 or more years’ relevant experience including supervision of elements of large, complex projects in the Infrastructure or Transportation Sector
Experience in ISO 19650 protocols and their application on large projects
Effective project management, client relationship management, commercial skills and management of technical aspects of BIM production for major projects
Advanced capability in Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer
Experience in managing people and also virtual teams
Have expertise to define BIM outcomes
Advanced ability applying design experience to the models you produce and in setting up and coordinating a BIM Protocol and Execution Plan for a given project
