We are currently looking for CRGS certified, or soon to be certified, Ultrasound Technologist - Rotator (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Rotator)to join our expanding outpatient clinic practice in a full-time or part-time position. As an Ultrasound Technologist - Rotator, you will play a valuable role in helping to increase patient access by providing coverage across clinics during periods of increased demand and team member absences. Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support Clinic Operations: Provide coverage for both planned and unplanned absences, including vacations, training, same-day sick calls, and personal emergencies.
Perform Ultrasound Exams: Conduct routine and specialized sonography imaging under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and specialize in additional skillsets such as Interventional, MSK, and Breast.
Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track ultrasound equipment performance, document findings, and resolve basic issues.
Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Professional Membership: Certified Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS) through Sonography Canada, or eligible to obtain. Current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT), or eligibility for registration.
Ultrasound Experience: Clinical competency as a generalist sonographer, with an interest in refining and expanding skills in advanced practice areas such as MSK, OB/GYN, vascular and cardiac exams, and interventional procedures.
Specialized Knowledge: Experience in breast, MSK, OB/GYN, vascular, cardiac ultrasound exams, or in interventional procedures, is considered an asset.

Out-of-Province Applicants: Eligibility for registration with the ACMDTT is required.
