Looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated Registered Nurse to join our team here at the Surgery Centre
We have vacancies for permanent full time / part time surgical nurses who have an interest in working within a short stay elective ward and busy day surgery unit

About The Surgery Centre
The Surgery Centre (TSC) is located at the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital. We have a 32 bed ward which caters for short stay elective surgery cases and a day surgery unit (Satellite) that has 21 points of care. The day surgery area is operational 5 days a week and the in patient ward is operational 24 hours / 7 days a week.
About the role
The Registered Nurse is a key member of the health care team here at TSC and is responsible for:
Performing a systematic and focused nursing assessment of patient and environment as required.
Planning and evaluating nursing care in consultation with patients and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Providing safe and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve optimal health outcomes for patients.
Practicing within own scope of practice in accordance with legislation affecting nursing practice and healthcare.
A regular day will see you:
Working within a team and taking responsibility for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes for our patients.
On any given day you may be working either in the ward environment or in the day surgery unit.

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
