About this role
Your team
The Asia-Pacific Aladdin Revenue Marketing team drives growth by aligning marketing strategy with commercial outcomes across BlackRock Aladdin’s technology platform, including Aladdin®, eFront, and Preqin.
Aladdin® is a technology platform that unifies the investment management process through a common data language. With a comprehensive view of portfolios across public and private markets, it enables scale, delivers insights, and supports business transformation.
Your role and impact
As Vice President/Director, Commercial Marketing (Japan Market Specialist), you will lead the development and execution of the marketing strategy for Japan, one of Aladdin’s key markets in Asia Pacific. You will be responsible for strengthening brand awareness, deepening client relationships, and driving commercial outcomes through integrated marketing programs.
This is a senior, high-impact role requiring both strategic direction and hands-on execution, with significant collaboration across regional and global stakeholders. You will play a critical role in shaping Aladdin’s position in the Japanese market while contributing to the development of marketing talent through coaching, mentorship, and leadership.
Your responsibilities
Lead integrated thought leadership and demand generation programs in Japan across email, digital advertising, social media, and paid content platforms
Plan and execute the brand experience across hosted and sponsored industry events, online activations, webinars, and client engagement initiatives
Localize relevant marketing campaigns, thought leadership content, and sales materials into Japanese, and build and maintain partnerships with industry associations, academic institutions, and key influencers
Partner cross-functionally with sales, product, research, and global marketing teams, influencing senior stakeholders across a matrixed organization to deliver high-impact campaigns and drive commercial outcomes
Measure, quantify, and effectively communicate marketing impact to optimize campaign results and return on marketing investment
Coach, mentor, develop and support junior team member(s), fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment
Your experience
10+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on financial services, private markets, technology, or Business-to-Business (B2B) environments.
Native or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns and translating performance insights into measurable commercial impact.
Experience leading marketing strategy and execution for the Japanese market, with strong understanding of Japanese business culture and communication practices.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and business leaders across complex, matrixed organizations.
Proven project management capabilities, with strong attention to detail and execution excellence.
Familiarity with marketing platforms such as Salesforce, Pardot, or Eloqua is a plus

To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, support for working parents and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.

As a new joiner, you can count on this hybrid model to accelerate your learning and onboarding experience here at BlackRock.
Guidance on AI use for candidates
At BlackRock, AI has long been part of how we work – enhancing decision-making, improving operations, and helping us deliver better outcomes for clients.
