Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of IT-related experience, along with a PMP or equivalent certification. Candidates must be fluent in both Japanese and English and possess strong experience in consulting and service delivery.
The Principal Consulting Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering consulting projects that meet client objectives and organisational standards. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals. It requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable plans.
Responsibilities
Managing multiple consulting projects across a range of customers simultaneously, including implementation of Autodesk solutions, software development projects, and business transformation programs
Lead cross-functional delivery teams across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, ensuring alignment to Autodesk delivery standards and customer outcomes
Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills, with ability to communicate at executive and technical levels
Drive end-to-end delivery of digital transformation initiatives
Ensure high-quality delivery artifacts, including statements of work, regular and executive reports
Effectively leading and managing internal and external resources to meet project objectives.
Maintaining open communication amongst account team and project team members, leading project review meetings.
Translating project objectives and vision into clear goals for the team.
Managing team members to achieve project objectives.
Defining project resource plans, including internal and contract resources.
Monitoring projects to ensure completion within defined schedule, budget, and quality parameters.
Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and project control tools utilising standard PM processes.
Own financial performance of projects, including revenue forecasting, backlog management, and tracking actuals vs. targets
Performing project plan analysis and evaluating risk and developing risk mitigation plans.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field
5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within an IT-related field
PMP / PMI qualified or equivalent
Experience leading a team to achieve project objectives and deliver projects within cost/schedule constraints
An ability to review and write scopes of work, project-related documentation, and develop and present presentations
Experience in consulting or service delivery to architect and design solutions based on business requirements
A strong sense of ownership with a bias for action
Fluent in Japanese & English
Nice to have – AEC industry experience
