Full job description
Head of Marketing
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Hybrid 3-4 days per week in office in San Ramon, with remote flexibility on other days
About ARIVE
ARIVE (www.arive.com) is a dynamic, high-growth software company revolutionizing digital mortgage originations by building the industry's first Wholesale Originations Marketplace. Our all-in-one Cloud LOS, POS, PPE, and Dual AUS ecosystem seamlessly connects independent loan originators, top-tier wholesale lenders, borrowers, referral partners, credit providers, and property and settlement service providers - creating a faster, more transparent, and more affordable path to homeownership.
Position Overview
We're seeking a strategic, growth-focused Head of Marketing to scale ARIVE's brand, community, and demand generation as we cement our position as the de facto tech stack for independent mortgage brokers and wholesale lenders. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own market positioning, brand strategy, product marketing, demand generation, account-based marketing (ABM), events, and community/partner marketing — inheriting an experienced Marketing Manager, building out the marketing department, and evolving our marketing engine from foundational execution into a highly scalable, data-driven growth function. Join us to make a meaningful, sustainable impact alongside some of the industry's brightest minds.
Key Responsibilities
Brand, Product Marketing & Positioning: Translate complex features (Cloud LOS, POS, PPE, and Dual AUS integrations) into clear, high-value narratives that speak directly to the pain points of busy independent loan officers and wholesale lenders. Own brand voice, visual identity, and thought leadership (webinars, case studies, PR, bylined content). Lead product marketing for new features and releases - launch narratives, announcements, and go-live communications orchestrated across email, in-app, social, web, PR, and sales-enablement channels. Champion ARIVE’s presence in industry awards and recognition programs (e.g., HousingWire Tech100) - own the submissions calendar and turn wins into brand-credibility moments across channels.
Community & Partner Marketing: Deepen ARIVE's highly engaged broker community and strategic industry partnerships (e.g., AIME, NAMB, Agencies etc.) to drive organic advocacy, referral loops, and brand loyalty. Spotlight ARIVE representations at industry conventions and cultivate relationships with association leadership and key opinion leaders. Treat our loyal, highly active user community as a strategic asset - deepen ARIVE’s brand positioning and voice within it through champion/advocacy programs, customer stories, and community-led content. Own ARIVE’s hosted-event strategy end-to-end - user conference, roadshows, and webinar series - with clear engagement and pipeline goals for each.
Marketing Strategy & Planning: Define and execute the marketing roadmap to expand broker adoption and deepen wholesale lender marketplace engagement. Partner closely with Product, Sales, Onboarding, Support, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to successfully launch new products, integrations, and strategic initiatives. Own one unified annual marketing plan spanning brokers and wholesale lenders - with clear pipeline, CAC/LTV, and brand-health targets - define ICPs and segment-specific value propositions, and align with Sales on shared goals, SLAs, and feedback loops.
ABM, Demand Generation & Customer Marketing: Build and run a tiered ABM program for high-value wholesale lenders and top broker shops - joint account selection and tiering with Sales, personalized multi-channel plays (content, events, digital, outbound air cover), and account-level engagement, pipeline, and expansion reporting. Build a multi-channel demand generation strategy (content, SEO, events, paid media, lifecycle/email) to consistently drive high-quality platform sign-ups; own the MarTech stack and attribution reporting. Plan, launch, and optimize integrated campaigns end-to-end across channels, using analytics to read performance and reallocate budget to what works. Own the marketing content and strategy delivered to broker and lender customers through the ARIVE platform itself - in-app announcements, lifecycle campaigns, marketplace placements and lender spotlights, and adoption/education content that deepens engagement and retention.
Team Leadership, Budget & Executive Reporting: Direct, mentor, and grow the marketing team (beginning with the existing Marketing Manager). Manage the annual marketing budget with a strict eye on Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and lifetime value (LTV). Design the marketing org and hiring roadmap, recruit and develop top talent, set clear goals and career paths, and leverage agencies/contractors as force multipliers while instilling an accountable, metrics-driven culture. Keep the CEO and executive leadership informed on marketing performance, pipeline contribution, and brand health through regular metrics reviews.
Things We Look For
Experience: 10+ years of marketing experience, including 3+ years in a Director/Head-of leadership role within B2B SaaS, FinTech, or PropTech.
Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with mortgage technology, Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Point-of-Sale (POS) platforms, or the independent mortgage broker channel strongly preferred. Experience marketing to loan originators, brokers, or wholesale lenders — with fluency in the channel’s language, communities, and events — is a strong plus.
Brand & Community Builder: Proven track record building brand affinity and leveraging user communities (Facebook groups, association partnerships, live industry events) to fuel product-led, organic growth.
Full-Stack Marketing Mindset: Equal parts strategic brand architect and hands-on growth marketer — comfortable in Google Analytics/attribution dashboards as well as guiding a product launch or PR campaign.
ABM Expertise: Hands-on success designing and scaling account-based marketing for named/enterprise accounts — segmentation, orchestration, and measurement (e.g., HubSpot ABM) — in tight partnership with Sales.
MarTech Fluency: Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce) and analytics/BI tools (GA4, Looker, or Tableau).
Leadership: Strong people-management skills with experience building and mentoring a marketing team; comfortable operating with high autonomy in a fast-paced startup. Demonstrated success building a marketing department from an early stage — org design, hiring, coaching, and performance management — and leading through rapid growth and change.
Communication: Excellent written/verbal communication and executive presence; able to represent ARIVE externally (press, panels, conventions) and report clearly to the CEO.
Regulated-Industry Awareness: Working knowledge of advertising/compliance considerations in mortgage marketing (e.g., RESPA, state licensing rules) is a plus; all external claims are reviewed in partnership with Legal/Compliance.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred; MBA a plus.
What We Offer
Compensation: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 – $250,000 + up to 20% performance-based bonus. The position is eligible for performance-based equity compensation. Our salary ranges are determined by location, level, and role; individual compensation will be determined by experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA (Hybrid): 3-4 days per week in office, with remote flexibility on other days. Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
401(k) plan with employer match.
Generous PTO policy.
Endless learning and growth opportunities in a fast-paced, high-growth startup.
