Full job description
At Makeready we are searching for curious self-starters with a genuine interest in people. These hard-working individuals have always had a natural bend toward hospitality, no matter where they work, because they’ve always seen themselves as part of something bigger.
As an Area Director of Revenue Management, you’ll shape the revenue management and distribution strategy for multiple Makeready properties aligning insights with each hotel’s unique identity. You’ll lead forecasting, pricing, and inventory optimization while collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to bring our business goals to life.
We’re seeking a forward-thinking leader who’s fluent in analytics, obsessed with performance, and inspired by partnership. This is more than a job about rates and restrictions — it’s about creating the right conditions for each property to thrive.
Requested Tasks:
Drive strategic revenue initiatives across multiple Makeready hotels.
Lead rate, pricing, and inventory strategy to maximize profitability.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable plans.
Partner with property and corporate teams to deliver results that align with brand and market goals.
Stay ahead of trends and bring a creative approach to an ever-changing marketplace.
Requested Capabilities:
Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Management, including at least 3 years as a Director of Revenue Management for a hotel or multi-property group.
Experience managing revenue for both branded and independent assets preferred.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving forecast accuracy, and optimizing performance across multiple markets.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience managing and mentoring revenue management teams.
Proficiency in Opera PMS, IDeaS, and iHotelier (or equivalent systems).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
As part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits. The health, happiness and well-being of our team is our top priority.
We take pride in our Guiding Principles to help define how we successfully work together. We follow them not out of duty but live by them instinctively.
Makeready LLC and its affiliated entities are proud to encourage and support an environment where everyone can be a successful team member as their true independent self. We are committed to building a team and a workplace where we are all able to be successful based solely on our individual qualifications, experience, abilities and job performance.
Makeready is a place maker, a company specializing in branding, design, & operations of hotels, restaurants, retail, & other experiential platforms.
At its core, hospitality is about sharing. It is the act of opening one’s doors, asking others to come in, and showing them kindness and respect. We believe that our preparation gives us the opportunity to make a difference in a guest’s stay.
Through careful preparation we lay the groundwork for a guest’s experience, and in dedication to thoughtful execution we strive to bring it home. We are committed to creating unique experiences where all feel welcome, cared for, and ultimately valued. Because in this we have the greatest opportunity to have a positive impact on the world around us—starting with the person in front of us.
